The Tale of Chopstix

Once upon a time, a rather adventurous panda named Chopstix lived with his family in the Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces of China. A good son and friend to his fellow pandas, Chopstix got his moniker, "The Hungry Panda," from his voracious appetite and his ability to eat large amounts of bamboo.

All was good for Chopstix until a terrible flood hit his homeland, displacing the bamboo that his family and friends needed to satiate their hunger. Being the adventurous and kind fellow that he was, Chopstix took it upon himself to find a new source of bamboo for those about whom he cared.

Long and hard his journey was, until he made way to the New China Inn... a dainty restaurant serving various Chinese delicacies. They, too, had suffered through a flood; and, upon learning of Chopstix' plight, offered him their famous Almond Boneless Chicken to eat, having no bamboo to serve.

To Chopstix' amazement, this tasted even better than the bamboo he had been searching for! Trying many more of their dishes, Chopstix soon found himself full, but also came to a revelation... not only could New China Inn satisfy his appetite, but he knew it would also satisfy that of his brethren back home!

Taking an amazing selection back with him, soon both family and friends discovered the great food that Chopstix himself had tasted by good fortune. And due to the good graces of the Inn, from now on, the pandas would not want for food again. In return, Chopstix has given the New China Inn permission to use his likeness to showcase how much he loves their food; so much so, in fact, that he will now turn down bamboo if he has the choice.
